Customer Case Study: “Upgrading our DW to 11gR2 improved performance while saving us money”For the last few years this customer has been running a data warehouse built on a series of integrated windows 32-bit, 10g databases. (At the time of inception, 64-bit Windows did not support Workflow or Data Warehouse Builder.) Inevitably, as their data has grown, the 32bit database has started to prove a significant performance bottleneck. By upgrading to 11gR2 with its integrated Data Warehouse Builder, Workflow engines and table partitioning, etc, they have experienced considerable improvements in performance, delivering a significant impact on the way they use their reporting facilities.
